Reflection

This week Ms. Moccia was teaching us how to properly write the essay for the AP english language test. Ms. Moccia used many different examples on how an author develops their purpose. For example, we read a piece of writing about the Santa Ana, a terrifying wind that the author describes as mayhem causing. The wind is described to cause the environment and the surrounding people to act oddly. There are many techniques the author uses to express their purpose. For example, the amount of repetition creates a casual tone which helps the reader relate to the author. In my opinion, this piece of literature was interesting and taught me a little more about what I should be addressing in my essay.
